So.... here we are in the 3rd trimester and still no idea as far as baby names go.... Here are a few we like, we (I) would love some input:)

Elise (but we have a tough time with a middle name for this - I like Joy...)
(oh and also, the most common sibling names for this name - Emma and Hannah! Coincidence? I think not!)

Natalie or Natalia Lyn
Brooke Lyn
Sierra or Aspen we love but are stuck on middle names for them too:)
Ok - there are others we like too, but today I don't even like them enough to type them;) Which means nothing cause they are probably the ones I will LOVE tomorrow!

Meanwhile, I went to the Dr yesterday and my BP was 190/90. I knew it was high but wasn't too worried till I went walking with Jackee this morning and she was worried... then I went VTing and my comp (who has had High BP with all of hers ) was worried too. Then by the time I got home I was so dizzy/ headachy I felt like I was going to pass out... OH BOY:)
I will post pics from the weekend ASAP, but for now I need to go make a cake for My lil mans B-day TODAY!!!!! OH Ya- By the WAY - It is RUSSELLS 4TH BIRTHDAY!!!! YAY

Oh and another By the Way - This Post is the best idea for planting a garden EVER - especially if you live in a really windy place like we do! I will be doing this for SURE! YAY!

You have to try these Lemon Blueberry Muffins . Make them! Seriously! They are so fast and if you double the recipe then you can have them for breakfast (or snacks...) for a few days... they really are so yummy;)
Today was INSANE.... and the week is just going to get crazier... I am not sure if I will make it through sane or not but I sure hope so;) If I do, I will be sure to fill you in on the details later!

I really loved THIS POST! It is amazing how we, as Americans, are so blessed - and yet are not happy. It makes me wonder, with the answers to what can make us truly happy so evident - when will we be?

Spring Break 2009 Day 5 - Friday!

Yay! It is Friday! This week sure flew by!!!!
I got up and made sausgage and egg biscuits - YUM! Then we headed down to Sedona to our FAV hike (and most everyones) - West Fork!

On one of MANY stream crossings... The water was freezing! My feet went numb on the first crossing when I had to wait in the middle of the stream for a bit!

I love the amazing man my hubby is! He puts us all first - helping everyone across!

After our hike we headed down to Sedona and went to the "Red Planet Diner" for lunch!

It was a bit pricey -as most things in Sedona are- but it was fun, there was alot to look at and the kids loved it! The food was really good too! YAY!

After lunch we headed to the Kites and magic store and got the BEST KITE EVER!!!!! Totally kid friendly - no sticks or anything and made really well! We were so excited to go home and try it out (and play with the flying monkeys that we also got - SO cute). So, we drove back to Flag and after a quick detour at Walmart to spend way to much $ we got to fly our new kite!!!

It really is awesome! Next time you are in Sedona you have to get one;)

Then we came inside and had American night! Ate too much pizza and Banana Splits! YUM! What a great day together as a family! This week was so wonderful!

Spring Break 2009 Day 4 - Thursday

Today was just SAD.... I was sooo exhausted, I guess the week caught up with me! We did nothing! We read books and watched movies all day... I realised at about 4:00 I hadn't started our Feijoida for Brazilian night so we did leftovers. Oh well right? It was still fun, at a much slower pace!

Spring Break 2009 Day 3 - Wednesday

Here we are! Yay for the great

Grand Canyon!!!!

Ya, we live in Northern Arizona and have NEVER taken our kids to the Grand Canyon, isnt that sad? We (J and I) had never even been together so.....

First we hit the IMAX which the kids LOVED! And we had gotten a discount coupon online! Sweet!

Then we headed into the park and ate our lunch at a little picnic place...

This kid loves sandwiches!

Then we headed down the Bright Angel Trail. It was PACKED! I was scared that someone was going to bump us over the edge - seriously... sooo much pushing and shoving! Neither of us has ever seen it this busy and from what we were told it was a really busy day so, there ya go! We decided to come back again soon when it is NOT spring break! ;)

So.... since it was ridiculous EVERYWHERE we decided to hike to my fav spot. Behind the "Shrine of the ages" is a 1/4 mile hike to the rim, called "Rim Trail". My Dad and I hiked this alot, although not on a 'trail' per say...

But, it was gorgeous and we were alone!!!! Heaven!!!!

And here is lil miss independence herself... She walked the whole was back herself. NO you can not hold her hand - NO you cannot pick her up. She was quite determined to do it HERSELF!

And she did - even up some pretty big hills (well for someone whose legs are that tiny hills are HUGE!)

We got back into town at 5:30, stopped at Polibertos to get food for our Mexican night! YUM!

And right now we are watching "Chicken Run" the kids are in their sleeping bags for a sleepover in the living room, and life is good! This was a good day.... a VERY good day!

Also - for those that know me I am not into taking advantage of lots of things that I really should.... but today we asked about the national parks disability pass... and I got one! I have been "meaning" to ask for 11 1/2 years now... and I finally got up the nerve. Jonathan said, Yay - something positive out of all of this - and I said, I don't know if it was worth it... but I am excited!

Spring Break 2009 Day 2 - Tuesday

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!

We started out the day with a belly picture;) Here I am at 26 weeks (this is for you Bethi!). Ya, I am huge - I know;) Just wait, I still have a few months....

But I don't have much on this little one... just look at that belly;) (This pic is from yesterday - today she was wearing all green... sooo cute!)
Our Super green breakfast! The kids were so excited to eat something so "weird"! It was yummy! This is pancakes, scrambled eggs, and a pina colada smoothie - and a lot of green dye!

After lunch we went to the Flagstaff Aquaplex! We had STILL never been, but had heard so much great stuff about it that we decided today was the day! I thought that there wouldn't be enough for my kids who really don't swim.... But there was!!!! It was AMAZING!!!! And only $8 for our whole family! (4 and under is free and I did not swim I'm self conscious enough when I am NOT preggie). That is a great spring break 'vacation' deal!

She loved to get in and out of the pool! Dad would help her jump in each time, the kid was in heaven! This part of the pool only gets like 6" deep! Perfect!

Our St Patty's Day corned beef and cabbage dinner! I had never had this before and I thought it was pretty good! I really liked the recipe I used! YAY!

The meal - not super exciting, but festive for our Irish night;)

Emma, who said she LOVED it but that the meat is to salty! I agree! But hey, once a year we can handle it!

Russ saying "Happy St Patricks Day"! He LOVED the meat and fruit salad but was not the biggest fan of the cabbage! He ate it but did not love it!

There you have it - our super St Patricks spring break day #2! It was a lot of fun but I have to say, we are all REALLY looking forward to tomorrow.... You will have to wait and see why!
