I found this picture of Elise on my phone the other day! The nurse was kind enough to suggest I snap one with my phone. I didn't get any pictures of her getting X-rays or anything else, but I did get this of her EKG. It broke my heart to see her like this!
We have been so blessed to have extremely healthy kids. We are so grateful for all of these little sweeties!

Halloween (finally)

Ok, I worked way to hard on the costumes to not go trick or treating! So.... on 11-10-09 we went! I am quite sure our neighbors thought that we were nuts loading all the kids in the car, we may get a calender on our doorstep any day now!
I know you have seen planty of these pics already but I just can't help it. I think my kids are adorable! So feel free to skip right past this post, me, I will look at it every day for weeks!

2 bags of M&M's! No WAY!!!!! Wooo hoooo! The kids were thrilled with their loot! (shhhh, dont tell them how much your kids got ok?)

We decided we had to go over and show Grandpa the cute kids! He was at work so we walked over there...

And immediatly H starts looking for the candy! (She does this any time we visit G-pa, not just to trick or treat!)

Got IT!!!! Wooo hoooo! And a sucker! Lucky ducks! Or Bugs....

Em was just excited to be out of the house!

Oh. My. Word. These girls take me breath away!

This little one knows she has us all wrapped around her chubby little finger.

We headed next to our neighbors house. SHe had called J to tell him she got the kids something for Halloween. I was thinking a candy bar or something....

But she practically had a Christmas morning set up on front of the fireplace. I got big 'ol tears in my eyes! She is such a dear, kind woman and we could never thank her enough for all that she does for us and the kids. They were all thrilled! Especially about the gift certificates to zoos and wildlife parks all over the state! Time for a trip!!!!

We carried over the Halloween theme to our 3rd (yes 3rd) Halloween dinner this year. This time was blood and guts with potatoes. (Really just shephards pie that I added chopped beets to, makes it look really red and "bloody"!)

And now I am officially calling an end to Halloween at our house. You are welcome!

Sickies

As I have said, we have been a bunch of sickies! Here is what everyone was doing when I came out Tuesday morning. Daddy was sick too, so he decided to work from home....

A makeshift Halloween

With sick kids and a sick Mom for Halloween we had to change things up a bit.
We ate a good for us dinner, instead of hot dog mummies... we dressed up in pajames and tutu's instead of the full cute costumes and the kids trick or treated at Mom and Dads bedroom door for yummy cookies and treat bags our awesome friend Jackee had dropped off for the kids! Then we cuddled on the couch and watched Ichabod Crane and ate cupcakes Aunt Nancy had dropped off!
Aren't we lucky? Kind of sad to have missed out on all the fun stuff, but how blessed we are to have awesome friends and family who still made it wonderful!

We have had friends and family bring soups and goodies and everyone has taken such good care of us! Even just the phone calls so I don't go nuts from cabin fever have been so gratly appreciated! Thank you from us all! We truly are so grateful to you all!!!

New shoes?

I felt AWFUL last wednesday. I knew I was getting really sick. I headed home from helping set up for Young Womens in Excellence at the church and I decided I would stop and get something to hel me get there again that night. Medicine??? NO!!! New shoes!!! What better incentive to get dressed up and go when you feel like crap than new shoes, right?
I have been eying these shoes and they were on sale so I got 'em.
Then Hannah decided they were hers...

Come on girl - at LEAST put them on the right feet! ;)
Seriously - the girl is CONSTANTLY wearing everyones shoes! It is hilarious! She loves shoes soooo much!

And here they are... I do love them! But, I came hope that night and crashed for the next 3 days.... Followed closely by the rest of my family.

Sick little family... J took the two older kids to the Dr yesterday since big E has had a 102 fever for over 3 days and Russell had a 102 fever that morning. She said they don't test for piggy flu at thier office but that is what they probably have. So, we are keeping Elise far away from them!

Hope we can all get better quick!!!

Meanwhile, it made for a very different kind of a Halloween....
